Sploot is a free community for people learning to surf without feeling stupid. We translate the confusing world of surfing into plain, friendly language, and give you a few genuinely useful tools while we're at it. That's it. No memberships to defend, no clique to get past.

answer a few questions, find the board your body actually wants (not the cool-kid board that'll make you miserable).

type any weird surf word, get it explained like a friend would, zero "you should already know this".
- Surfer Quiz
eight silly questions, one suspiciously accurate turtle verdict, fully shareable.
- The Line-up
a small, friendly feed to log where you surfed and cheer each other on. No egos, no leaderboards of who's better.
- Is it really free?
Yes. Signing up costs nothing and we're not dangling a paywall behind it. If we ever add paid extras later, the core stays free.
- Do I need to sign up?
You can try the tools without an account. You sign up so we can save your board result, your streak and your spot in the line-up. That's the only reason.
- Will you spam me?
No. We're a very small team who honestly forgets to email. No spam, no selling your data.
- Do I need to be good at surfing?
Absolutely not. That's the entire point. Everyone was a kook on day one. We're nicer to beginners than the ocean is.
