Why is Sploot's mascot a turtle?
Turtles are slow, ancient, and belong in the ocean. So do beginners.
Turtles do not care how fast they get there. They breathe when they need to breathe. They surf currents that took millions of years to form. That is the exact opposite of the try-hard energy that makes learning to surf miserable. The turtle reminds us that being new is fine, being slow is fine, and being here at all is the point.
