How do I wax a surfboard?

Cold-water wax for cold water, tropical for warm. Base coat first, then top coat in circles.

Choose wax by water temperature: cold, cool, warm, or tropical. Rub a hard base coat over the deck in a criss-cross pattern until small bumps form. Then rub your temperature-specific top coat in small circles over the base. Wax where your feet, knees, and chest touch. Re-wax every few sessions or when the bumps flatten.
